Set your mind back to early Disney had just acquired Pixar and Meet the Robinsons was set to be released later that year. John Lasseter had just been named chief creative officer for both companies and sat down to an early screening. John Lasseter hated it.

Written by Anonymous. This is cute, and I'm glad I watched it. The beginning is just too chaotic and slapstick. It turns out that there is a reason for that, so you have to keep watching or you won't get it. You won't believe it, but it all eventually comes together to form a coherent and meaningful plot line. This is important to know going in, because otherwise you may stop paying attention or give up altogether.

I almost did and now I am glad I didn't I gave this only seven stars based on the story telling. It may deserve more. Sign In. Keep track of everything you watch; tell your friends. Meet The Robinsons? Actually, We’ve Met.

A lthough I now live in the midwest, I am a California kid. I grew up practically living at Disneyland. Mickey Mouse has made a lasting impression on my life. I watched the Mickey Mouse Club, with Annette not the glossy in color version of today, every day after school. I believe I chose art as my major in College because I truly believed Disney Studios would hand me a job painstakingly coloring animation cells right then and there. Then Monsanto hosted a ride that would shrink you to the size smaller than a living cell …and you believed it! We sat in our seats with our kids, our spouses, dates, our grandkids and we took the journey Disney has always intended us to take. A transformational journey of wonder and fascination. Lewis loves to invent things. Miss Mildred loves him and has cared for him since he was mysteriously dropped at her door as a baby.

Meet the Robinsons

Invented by Cornelius Robinson as a 'Helping Hat' that would assist wearers in small tasks, Doris soon rebelled against her creators and took control of the test wearer. Cornelius acted quickly to deactivate her and she was placed into a Robinsons Industries storage room for prototypes and failed inventions. She soon reactivated and escaped, meeting Bowler Hat Guy , who was egging and toilet papering the Robinsons Industries building as an attempt for revenge. They discovered they shared the same hatred of Cornelius and decided to team up in an attempt to destroy the future he created by stealing the second Time Machine and presenting Doris to the Inventco board, though Goob made the additional suggestion of stealing the Memory Scanner at the Science Fair as a way to put his foot in the door before presenting Doris as well. Originally invented as a fashionable personal assistant and headgear, DOR turned out evil, wishing to be the master rather than a helper.

The 47th Disney animated feature film , it was released in standard and Disney Digital 3-D versions. It was the first film released after then- Pixar executive John Lasseter became chief creative officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Michael "Goob" Yagoobian , or also better known as the Bowler Hat Guy , is the secondary antagonist of Disney's 47th full-length animated feature film Meet the Robinsons. He was voiced by Stephen J. He is commonly dressed in black as an adult.

Time travel stories are difficult to tell. When watching a movie that focuses on time travel, the audience is often quick to point out the multitude of story problems and paradoxes that ought to make the entire film unspool far differently than it does. When the film in question is an animated movie put out by Disney and geared for children, as with Meet The Robinsons , the target audience is probably somewhat less demanding. It is lucky for Disney that this is the case, as Meet the Robinsons is riddled with plot holes, paradoxes, and a multitude of ill thought through notions. While children in the audience won't be picky about these, it does lessen the enjoyment for adults.

Sounding like the evil Senator Palpatine coaching Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequels, Bowler Hat Guy counsels a young boy, “Let hate be your ally, and.
